Into Nature

Come home to the quiet rhythm of nature.

September, 19th | Friendly Beaches | Tasmania

✦︎

There is nowhere to rush to.

Only space to notice.

To rest within the sounds of nature.

To sip homemade tea by the fire.

To wander beneath the trees.

To remember your body as a safe and calm place to be.

This day encourages you to return
to what has always been there beneath the noise.

✦︎

Into Nature is an intimate day experience created for those longing to slow down and reconnect within nature.

Together we gather amongst the trees, around the warmth of a fire and the wide skies of Tasmania's east coast.

Throughout the day we soften into stillness through guided breath, nourishing food, moments of quiet creativity, gentle movement and shared silence.

“Attention is an act of connection.”

Julia Cameron author of The Artist Way.

The Rhythm of the Day

Our day unfolds gently. We begin by arriving to a welcoming fire, greeting our intimate group of nature fellow lovers and being introduced to the day’s schedule.
This is an experience where we will wander through bushland with opportunities to observe, notice and journal what we see, hear, taste and smell. No artistic experience is needed, only curiosity and willingness to express however you wish.
Nourishing seasonal food become another practice in mindfulness and slowing down whilst gathering around the fire. There will be moments of shared conversation, moments of silence and generous spaces in between, to pause, breathe and notice. But also to explore, to look up to the sky and to listen to birds, the trees, and the sounds of nature.
Gentle restorative movement and a luxurious sound bath later in the afternoon offers space to soften into the body and rest the nervous system before we gather one final time around the fire to close our day together.
This retreat is thoughtfully curated to leave you feeling grounded, nourished and quietly restored. Everything is taken care of, all you need to do is arrive.

Your Hosts

Originally from Sydney, Jane was a yoga and meditation teacher for over 15 years, who now practices daily nature therapy on her 200 acre wildlife reserve at Friendly Beaches. A love of drawing and a curiosity for the natural world has led her to become an avid nature journaler.

Jane is a wildlife rescuer and permaculture gardener. A private chef and caterer, with many yoga retreats catered for in the past ensures that the food will be generous, delicious, fresh, seasonal and where possible, from her own organic garden.

Fefa is an architect who moved to Tasmania drawn by nature, surf, and a slower pace of life. Living on the Freycinet Peninsula, waking each morning to the quieter rhythms of the East Coast, inspired her to create Alba Studio, an online and in-person space where functional breath, sound immersion and deep listening become a gentle practice of remembering the body as a safe place to be.

Today, she shares this work through weekly practices, private sessions, and special events, often collaborating with local practitioners, musicians and wellness professionals.

Where we will Gather

Friendlies Rest is nestled within one hundred acres of native bushland on Tasmania's East Coast. A peaceful sanctuary at Friendly Beaches, opposite Moulting Lagoon and 15 minutes to Freycinet National Park.

Wallabies graze on the property, wombats emerge at dusk and echidnas quietly explore the landscape while native birds provide the soundtrack to your stay.

This space has been thoughtfully designed with simplicity and sustainability in mind; a cosy space for you to slow down within nature.

Private bell tents, a beautiful communal barn space, fire pits, hammocks and open skies create an environment where nature remains the main host and comfort is assured.

  • "I find it difficult to explain how beautiful it is to experience one of Fefa’s guided sound sessions. I have attended a few times - group sessions, solo sessions, one with my sister who was visiting from overseas and even one with my young children. Each time, I have walk away feeling something within me has shifted. Fefa is incredible at reading her guests and helping them reach peace. I highly recommend Alba Studio."
